Episodic Season is July-November when pilots have been picked up for most of the network shows (your ABC, CBS, etc) and are casting a ton of episodes while filming their seasons. This means a lot of costar and guest star roles which in turn means working actors will usually see an uptick in auditions. Wait, didn’t streaming services + the pandemic change this ‘actor calendar’ thing? -Yes. And no. Auditions are truly year-round now, but this time period has come back to fruition in a lot of ways. So there is a solid chance you will see more self-tape requests in your inbox. But what if I don’t have reps? Some roles with more unique requirements will be released onto Actor’s Access, so keep an eye out for those. But most auditions will be going through Breakdown Services, only reps have access to those. PAUSE. If one of these phrases just crossed your mind: Omg wait I haven’t had auditions yet! Wtf is wrong with me?! I don’t have reps so I am just SOL I guess. Stick around. I’m gonna address a lot of this in upcoming content. In the meantime, if you have not updated yourself with what *may* be casting soon, here are some resources for you to check out this week: 2022 Network Pilots Ordered 2022 Network Shows Renewed |
